Usage
- Prepare Hairpiece: Identify the location on your wig, topper, or weft where you want to add the clip for extra security. These clips are typically sewn onto the base. If sewing, ensure your wig/topper has a suitable cap or lace area for attachment.
- Open Clip: Gently press on the sides of the metal clip to snap it open. The inner bar will pop outwards, allowing the teeth to separate.
- Position on Natural Hair: Place the opened clip against your scalp, directly over a section of your natural hair. Ensure the teeth align with your hair strands.
- Secure Clip: With a small section of your natural hair gathered between the clip’s teeth, press down firmly on the center bar until it snaps shut. This will secure the clip to your natural hair.
- Attach Hairpiece: If installing a new clip, sew the outer edges of the clip onto the base of your wig, topper, or weft, using a needle and thread that matches your hairpiece. This integrates the clip into your hairpiece.
- Repeat as Needed: For full wigs or larger toppers, apply multiple clips strategically around the perimeter (e.g., at the temples, crown, and nape) for maximum security.
- Remove: To remove the hairpiece, gently open each snap clip by pressing on its sides until the inner bar pops out. Carefully slide the clip away from your natural hair. Avoid pulling or tugging.
Pro Tip: For optimal security, especially with toppers or wigs, secure the clips onto a small, braided section of your natural hair underneath, or directly onto natural hair that has been backcombed lightly at the root.
