Usage
- Apply Remover Solution: Liberally spray or apply your chosen hair extension tape remover solution directly onto the adhesive bonds of the tape-in extensions. Ensure the solution saturates the tape. Let it sit for the recommended time (as per remover instructions) to allow the adhesive to break down.
- Initial Separation: Once the solution has worked, gently begin to peel the tape wefts apart. If they are still stubborn, apply more remover.
- Utilize the Tool for Separation: Use the flat, thin edge of the main tool (or the scraper tip if thin enough) to gently work with tape wefts, carefully prying them apart without pulling the natural hair.
- For Residue Removal (with Scraper Tip – ON EXTENSION WEFT ONLY): Once the tape wefts are separated, and after the extension has been completely removed from the natural hair, use the dedicated scraper tip. Place the removed extension weft on a clean surface. Gently glide the scraper tip along the tape area of the extension weft to meticulously remove any remaining adhesive residue.
- Rinse & Clean: After all extensions are removed from the client’s head, and extension wefts are cleaned, shampoo and condition the client’s hair thoroughly to remove any remaining remover solution and adhesive particles.
- Clean Tool: After each use, wipe down the tool and scraper tip with an alcohol wipe to remove any adhesive residue, ensuring it’s clean for your next client. Store in a clean, dry place.
Pro Tip: Always apply sufficient remover solution and allow it adequate time to penetrate the bond. Patience combined with this tool ensures the safest and most comfortable tape extension removal for your clients, while preserving the integrity of the extension wefts for reapplication.
